The California North Coast

Having lived in The Bay Area for most of our lives we often travelled to the North Coast.  The drought seems to be over and it’s as though El Nino has given new life to California. We’ll wait out the rest of the spring here before resuming our travels.  We’re staying at Pomo RV Park in Ft. Bragg, California.

An Afternoon Drive along Hwy. 1

Its a rainy weekend but we took a drive down the coast on Thursday before the storm and took some pictures of the area.  As we visit places in the coming weeks I’ll post photos and write about the area.

We stopped at The Albion River Inn to make reservations for our anniversary dinner, which falls on a Friday later this month.  42 years!  We wanted to reserve window seating.

We took a short walk in Mendocino, but didn’t visit the shops or museums.  We had the dog with us and there’s lots of time for that later on.

Few places can rival the awesome California coast.  Sometimes home is the best place to travel to.
