Beautiful Plumage!

In a small town in the marshlands of The Hood Canal we found a bird refuge, which seems to be populated mainly with these beautiful swallows.

These birdhouses are all over the marsh and the swallows appeared to be caring for their young.

We enjoyed watching these hard working little birds.  Its nice when you see animals in their native habitat, assisted by but not tampered with, caring humans.
