Hood River, Oregon

We’ve spent the last 10 days seeing the Columbia River from our base camp in White Salmon, Washington.  Hood River, Oregon is right across the bridge. It has shopping,  good restaurants and a beautiful marina.

The town is built on a hill.  Almost every street downtown has a view of the river.

Its a town of beer lovers but this is the largest brewery. We had a very good lunch here, looking out at the water.

The strong winds make Wind Parachuting a major sport.

Harbor

Its a pricy place to live, and its obvious why the real estate market is good.  A beautiful place to live surrounded by National Forest,  waterfalls, Mount Hood and wild life everywhere.  Lucky people!
